Home Prices

in Solana Beach

Solana Beach offers a laid-back coastal lifestyle with proximity to the beach and metropolitan San Diego. With an urban-suburban mix, and plenty of local activities, Solana Beach living is in high-demand. Solana Beach is best known for its easy walkability, endless scenic trails, and popular surf spots.

Even though residing in Solana Beach is highly aspirational, many people just can’t afford it. On average, the cost of living in Solana Beach is 88% greater than the national average.

If you have rental property in this coastal neighborhood and need a Solana Beach property management company, consider Good Life property management.  We make owning rental property easy by doing all the heavy-lifting for you.

Pros of Investing in Solana Beach

Since Solana Beach has lively attractions, great public schools, and a thriving nightlife, your rental property will always be in demand. Not to mention, Solana Beach has a very walkable community and short commute to Downtown San Diego.  Since renters only account for 35% of Solana Beach’s residential real estate (source), there will likely be a strong demand for your rental. If you need help from a Solana Beach property management company, consider Good Life property management.

Cons of Investing in Solana Beach

Since Solana Beach properties have such a high price-tag, you’re unlikely to see positive cashflow within the first few years. Also, since properties are close to the water, you will likely have higher maintenance costs in this location than other San Diego neighborhoods. In addition, Solana Beach homes are, on average, 46.4 years old. With older homes, there are often unforeseen maintenance costs, such as foundation issues, electrical issues, etc.
