Overview

About Mission Beach

With nearly two miles of an oceanfront boardwalk, Mission Beach is San Diego’s classic boardwalk beach town. This area is home to Belmont Park, a boardwalk amusement park that showcases the restored Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925. The park also offers attractions such as the Beach House Grill, miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing, and an arcade. Located just next door is Fit Mission Beach San Diego, a roof top gym overlooking the ocean.

Mission Beach and Pacific Beach (next door) host a variety of bars, creating a lively nightlife scene for both residents and tourists. Beyond the social scene, Mission Beach also offers family-friendly activities, including biking, beach volleyball, surfing, whale watching, sport fishing, and scuba diving.

Just north of Mission Beach is Mission Bay. At Mission Bay, you will find grassy parks, playgrounds, picnic tables, and miles of paved sidewalks. You will also find SeaWorld San Diego

Given the popularity of Mission Beach, finding parking can be challenging. However, there are two sizable parking lots at the beginning and end of the strip. For those considering living in the area, securing a property with parking is essential.

Mission Beach is also centrally located to Downtown San Diego and the San Diego International Airport, making it a popular area for residents concerned with commutes. Even though Mission Beach is generally close to everything, the Main Street in Mission Beach can get quite congested during rush hours.

Why owning rental property in Mission Beach is a good investment

Mission Beach’s thriving community and fun environment make it a sought-after place to live. Its beautiful beaches, scenic landscapes, and year-round entertainment attracts tenants who are willing to pay top-dollar to live here.

Of the 21,942 occupied housing units in Mission Beach, 68.63% are renter-occupied. Since there is high demand for rental housing, property owners can secure consistent rental income and, often, higher rental rates than the rest of San Diego County. With San Diego’s impressive property appreciation rates over time, Mission Beach property is also expected to generously appreciate. With all these factors considered, Mission Beach is a great place to invest in residential real estate.

With a qualified and reputable property manager, like Good Life Property Management, you can gain the benefits of your investment property without the hassle and headache of managing tenants. To learn more about our Mission Beach property management services, keep reading below.
