Carlsbad is a beautiful area in Northern San Diego and is full of beach houses and cute condos right near the beach. Carlsbad State Beach is the perfect spot for family trips and is close by to some great restaurants and shopping. In the spring, you can visit the Carlsbad flower fields, famous for their endless fields of blooming flowers. Legoland is perfect for families with kids and is only a short drive down the freeway.
There are a number of fun breweries to check out, such as Burgeon Beer Co. and Arcana Brewing. Carlsbad also has great golf courses. The Crossings at Carlsbad is a great spot to golf with your friends and coworkers. They are also a popular spot for weddings. Every spring Carlsbad hosts the Carlsbad Village Street fair, the largest one-day street fair in the nation. They have hundreds of vendors showcasing art, clothing, crafts, and more.

Transportation in Carlsbad is primarily provided by the North County Transit District. This consists of Breeze, the bus line, and Sprinter, the light rail. To travel toward downtown San Diego, take the coaster. This commuter train runs from Oceanside to downtown and makes 8 stops along the way.
